HID Key Fob
HID is the leading manufacturer of proximity cards, with access control systems in use at businesses around the world. HID prox cards are compatible with all HID proximity card readers.
Although HID ProxKey III Key Fobs are small, measuring only 1.55" x 1.25" x 0.24", and are not a traditional access control card, they still hold the same amount of data and add convenience for your cardholders. Designed to fit on your key ring or a lanyard, these prox cards are designed to withstand daily wear and tear with their durable PVC design.
Important Information to Know when Ordering Prox Cards
When ordering your HID ProxKey key fobs, you will need three key pieces of information:
- Your card format ? this is most commonly HID Compatible 26 bit (H10301)
- Your facility code ? this will be on the box your current cards came in, and is a number between 0 and 255
- Your sequence start number ? every prox card has a unique sequence number (numbers are between 0 and 65,435) and numbers cannot be repeated, your new card order should start on the next number in the sequence. This will also be on your box.
Keep in mind when ordering HID key fobs:
- Minimum order quantity: 100 cards
- Average lead time: 2-3 weeks
Please note that any customization you do to the cards may impact the order processing time. For a faster turnaround time, consider ordering AlphaPass prox cards instead.

Unsure About Your Card Format or Facility Code?The easiest way to find your card format and facility code is to look at the box your last order came in ? the card information will be printed on a label on the box. It may also be included in your order invoice. If you have access to your access control system, you may also be able to look it there.

Printing on your Key Fobs
You cannot print on HID key fobs, but you can choose to have their card number printed on the back.

The HID prox cards come with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.
