The SnapShell camera scanner is a convenient tool that scans and captures information from drivers’ licenses and ID cards. A 3-megapixel camera built into the base of the device takes a digital snapshot of the card to collect its image and textual information, which can then be used to populate database fields for fast and accurate data entry. The SnapShell scanner integrates seamlessly with Alpha Card ID Card Software and Alpha Track Visitor Management Software.

Compact and easy to operate, the SnapShell camera scanner uses a USB 2.0 connection and features simple plug-and-play installation. No calibration is required. Simply place a card face down on the window and the camera scanner does the rest, automatically detecting the card placement to trigger the scan. Images are processed within 2-3 seconds
