AlphaCard hosted two Zebra representatives who came by today to present us with the ZXP Series 3. Karen and Nick traveled from Seattle and California respectively to demonstrate Zebra’s latest card printer to our technical support and sales teams.

One of the key features we learned about is its innovative ribbons, which are thicker and thus more durable and efficient. These high performance ribbons are encased in a Load-N-Go cartridge that is incredibly quick and easy to install. Simply open the printer’s door and drop the cartridge in with the label facing upward.

When it comes to looks, the ZXP Series 3 is especially unobtrusive. It has a long, narrow body so it can fit easily into small spaces atop a desk or shelf. Another physical feature is its blue 16-character LCD screen that offers guidance through printing and maintenance processes. Lastly, it comes equipped with a Kensington lock slot that can prevent unauthorized people from accessing the input card feeder, preventing them from producing illicit cards.
While telling us all about its performance, Karen and Nick printed ZXP Series 3 cards for our consideration. The AlphaCard verdict: The ZXP Series 3’s color rendition is realistic and vibrant, and its images are sharp and clear. Likewise, it was easy to use and created a single card in just about 20 seconds flat.
