Last week, HID announced a developers edition for the company's Asure ID 2009 badge design software platform. The Asure ID 2009 Developer Edition includes a Software Developer Kit (SDK) that allows customer, integrators, and third-party developers to integrate various Asure ID functions into their own applications.
With the Developers Edition and SDK, high-level application software can be combined with Asure ID to perform a variety of functions using application programming interfaces (APIs). Examples include card template management, and printing and image capture. Essentially, the Asure ID Developers Edition opens up the software to third-party developers so they can expand its functionality.
